Pine needle is a potent anti-infective and is used to treat urinary tract and gastrointestinal infections. As a diuretic, pine assists the body in getting rid of excess water, uric acids, salts, and fats which accumulate in the body. Topically, pine needle's antioxidant properties are useful to combat acne, boils, bug bites, eczema, itching, psoriasis, rosacea, scabies, and sores. The antioxidant properties of pine are beneficial for eye health, helps aid cataracts, macular degeneration, and other eye-related conditions due to cell degeneration and is beneficial for brain health, to reduce memory loss, and improve concentration.
